Kayla Bueby is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Social Work at the Univeristy of Michigan-Flint. Kayla devotes most of her working time to administering the university's practicum education program for both bachelor and master's level social work students. She holds an MSW degree with an evidence-based trauma treatment certificate from Michigan State University, a BSW degree from Saginaw Valley State University, and a Post Graduate Business Certificate from the University of Michigan-Flint. She is licensed to provide clinical social work services in the state of Michigan. Kayla has almost a decade of experience providing clincial mental health services to a diverse population of clients, with the majority of her experience focused on supporting college student mental health and wellness. Kayla has previsously served in prior roles at the Unvieristy of Michigan-Flint including the Assistant Director of Counseling and Psychological Services and the Program Manager and Life Skills Coach for the Mpowering My Success program focused on supporting students who had experiences foster care. Kayla has been connected to Fostering Success Coaching Model for almost her entire career, and she is passionate about its benefits, utility, and use when supporting students in their college endeavors.
