Karie provides contract-based, administrative support for FSCI and serves on the FSCI Advisory Committee. As the leader of Michigan’s statewide college access and success initiative, Fostering Success Michigan (FSM), Karie promotes FSCI Coaching as an essential component of the “Michigan Model” of best practices in supporting students with experience in foster care at over 30 campuses statewide. Karie became involved with the development of the Fostering Success Coaching Model as an MSW intern at Western Michigan University in 2013. Karie received her BSW from Western Michigan University in 2000, and her MSW from WMU in 2014.
